La Palma is one of the small Canary Islands, so called "Isla Bonita" (beautiful island), because it is not only the nicest of the Canaries, but beside  Bora Bora and Jamaica the UNESCO is counting it as one of the 5 most beautiful island all over the world.

La Palma has got a subtropical climate, you can visit it all the year over. The summer trade-winds are providing the "eternal spring", especially on the East-side of the island. 

If you really need the sun urgently you are sure on the west-side, if you like green vegetation with sun and a cloud from time to time

If you like diving - take into account, that because of high surge and surf there are a lot of problems with entering the water on the west-side in winter and spring. So stay on the eastside if you can bear a cloudy day from time to time.

Best and protected beaches are in Los Cancajos, close to the airport and old typical spanish capital Santa Cruz, so you can hav it all: beaches, sports, nightlife, culture and short travel.
 

The few planes will not disturb you at Cancajos Beach!
